POSITION SUMMARY:
The position is crucial for keeping the greenhouse equipment and mechanical systems functioning at optimal performance in order to ensure successful growing operations. A desire and willingness to learn new skills is critical.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (comprehensive, but not limited to):
Equipment Use:
- Perform equipment maintenance necessary including routine maintenance and adjustments to ensure optimal greenhouse efficiency.
- Rebuilding or replacing parts where needed
- Fabricate or customize specialized equipment needed for greenhouse production
- Occasional welding, painting
Preventative Maintenance:
- Perform routine safety inspections on equipment used in greenhouse production. Observe all laws and safety procedures associated with mechanization used in greenhouse production.
- Ability to identify potential problems and proactively initiate cost-effective solutions.
Greenhouse Upkeep:
- Always maintain facilities in a neat and orderly condition.
- Maintain accurate records and complete necessary paperwork in a timely manner.
- Maintain communication with Manager when needed.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to operate a variety of greenhouse production equipment such as farm tractors, skid loaders, forklifts, front-end loader, tree spade, semi-tractor/trailer, or others as required.
- Must have a minimum of one year experience in basic equipment maintenance such as welding, engine, electrical, transmission, hydraulics and other related work.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Class B license OR be willing to be trained and obtain Class B license is preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:
- Willingness to learn and be trained on company equipment and maintenance procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and meet or exceed deadlines while maintaining greenhouse safety standards.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to effectively work with a team and independently.
- Demonstrates a strong work ethic, flexible with work hours, and willing to be available when necessary.

The business is seasonal, and environments can at times be dusty, warm, and humid.
